Bob Sikes Elementary School Reviews

My son attended this school for the first time in second grade the 2007-2008 year. We moved to the area in summer 2007 and were planning to put him in private school. We decided to try Bob Sikes Elementary first. His teacher was very caring and very dedicated to each student. We received feed back on a weekly basis. The staff is fantastic and the library staff is phenomenal, they make sure children learn to love books. I am extremely please by this school overall. We will do whatever it takes to continue to support the school in all activities, as they are working hard to make sure every student shine. Thank you Bob Sikes Elementary.

Bob Sikes is a great school! My 2 children love their teachers and I'm welcome in their classrooms at any time. Music,Art and PE are offered and add variety to the school day. Educational standards are high and it has been rated an A+ school for several years.

My daughter was struggling and didn't like school.we put her in this school and she did a complete turn around. she loves school and her teachers. They havegreat academic programs. The principle is caring and helpful.

The office staff is friendly and very nice but, the complete educational process is severely lacking. School is only dedicated on making the FCAT scores and the teachers only care about one thing and that is the score for FCAT. Hours of homework nightly. Not a good environment.

School is not adequately focused on supervision of students. Safety and learning could be greatly enhanced if teachers & administration were more focused on paying attention to students closely. If your child struggles or has attention problems, they could get lost easily in this school. If your child is extremely responsible, at the top of his class, and needs little teacher supervision, this school will be fine.

My wife and I have two children that attend Bob Sikes ELementary. The faculty and staff are very friendly. We get frequent feedback from the teachers and school about our chlidrens' progress. The open-door policy of the administration adds warmth to this already charming school.

Teachers are not in touch with their students. Bullying is a constant problem and the children are out of control on a regular basis.

I am thankful you have taken the time to give thoughtful feedback about your child's education at Bob Sikes Elementary. Please contact me if we can provide more assistance.

We absolutely love this school. Our daughter struggled in her first year at a private school, and did not get the individual attention I felt she should have for the price we were paying! We transferred her here, and she has learned so much this year. The teachers are excellent about communicating with me as to what she needs to work on, what she has accomplished, etc. Wonderful school!

School has had frequent changes in principals since 1997. The result has been frustrated staff and a lack of continuity in the way parents concerns are addressed. All five of my children attended this school. Each year I volunteered in the classroom. I finally transfered my son to another school. He began to love school again and despite having to repeat the third grade returned to being a happy student.
